Ford Clutch Kits

Gold Star Racing Clutches’ Ford Pinto 2.3 liter Racing Clutch Kit assemblies include: Cover Diaphragm assembly, Pressure Plate with heat-treated and stress-relieved friction plates, Clutch Disc with metallic formulation pads, ultra lightweight Flywheel with screw-pinned ring gear, and Gold Star proprietary Throw-Out Bearing. The Clutch Disc diameter is 7.5 inches and is offered in 23 or 10 spline hub, single disc and dual disc configurations. The flywheel and ring gear are screw-pinned together. The ring gear tooth count of 135 and the diameter remain as originally supplied on the Pinto 2.3 motor using a 10-tooth starter pinion.

Gold Star Ford Racing Clutch kits are designed to offer significantly lower clutch package weight, (under 13 lbs.) and produce lower inertia than a standard clutch-flywheel assembly. The low moment-of-inertia of the Gold Star Ford Racing Clutch Kit provides faster engine acceleration out of corners and fast engine deceleration into them for improved control and results, making them ideal for dirt track mini stock racing or other Ford oriented motorsport applications.

Gold Star Mini Stock Racing Clutch kits are designed to significantly lower clutch package weight, (just over 13 lbs.) and produce lower inertia than a standard clutch-flywheel assembly. The low moment-of-inertia of the Gold Star Racing Clutch kit’s clutches provides faster engine acceleration out of corners and fast engine deceleration into them for improved braking, making them ideal for racing applications.
